Imation, a brand known for its data storage solutions, has announced two new secure external hard drives for professionals.
Responding on behalf of H100, the first one exploits a USB 2.0 connection to supply 5 volts and transfer data up to 480 Mbps, offering 250, 320 or 500 GB space for data, enjoys a password protection with AES 256-bit hardware encryption for data and has a shell metas very durable.
For H200, the second takes on the characteristics of H100, but adding biometric protection through the presence of a fingerprint reader.
As part of a new range of manufacturer named Defender which also includes USB, these two external hard drives will be available within weeks at prices unknown for the moment, nothing had filtered at the side of manufacturer. They will last in a five year warranty.
