Asus has formalized a new ultraportable PC-based platform that allows ion multimedia applications such as high-definition video playback and video games.
Laptop in question, the Eee PC 1201PN, carbide is using an Intel Atom N450 clocked with 1.66GHz and accompanied 2GB RAM.
With dimensions 29.6 x 20.8 x 3.3 inches and weighs 1.46 kg, it proposes a 12.1 inches LCD screen with LED backlight powered by a nVIDIA chipset original with 512MB dedicated memory and displaying in a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, high definition sound, a wired network connection of type Fast Ethernet network connection and a wireless Wi-Fi 802.11n.
Its facilities include a SATA hard drive capacity 320GB, a 3-in-1 port HDMI memory card reader, a VGA port, a headphone jack, 3 USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.1 wireless connectivity, a microphone, an integrated VGA camera and a Lithium-ion 6-cell that provides up 6 hours of autonomy.
The Asus Eee PC 1201PN laptop will be available shortly and sold at $670, as confirmed availability for pre-order gray version and black version.
