Dell announces KACE implementing cost effective system management

Dell KACE
announced new appliance-based pricing which will make it even more
affordable for mid-sized business customers to implement the industry’s
leading systems management appliance solution. Flat fee pricing once
again has Dell KACE at the forefront of innovation.

“Our new flat
fee, ‘all-in-one’ pricing structure enables our larger mid-market
customers to benefit from Dell KACE’s full range of systems management
capabilities without the never-ending add-on costs and licensing fees
our competitors charge,” said Rob Meinhardt, president of Dell KACE.
“Dell KACE has once again proven our deep commitment to saving our
customers both time and their organizations money.”

Though
critical to IT, systems management solutions have a reputation of
draining customers’ budgets with costly and complex pricing structures
that include incremental charges for every PC or server under
management, as well as additional charges for popular capabilities such
as service desk. Fundamentally changing the way IT organizations pay for
PC and server management, Dell KACE is drastically reducing the cost of
ownership with its new all in one, per-appliance pricing model that
eliminates the need to pay per system.

The new Dell KACE
appliance pricing encapsulates all the features and functionality of the
award-winning appliances, including: inventory management, software
distribution, configuration management, patch management, service desk,
power management, remote control, operating system disk imaging and
vulnerability scanning for one flat fee per appliance. The pricing also
includes the popular service desk and asset management modules,
previously sold separately.

The Dell
KACE family of systems management and deployment appliances fulfill
all of the systems management needs of a mid-market IT organization,
from initial computer deployment to ongoing management and retirement.
Dell KACE’s appliance-based pricing starts at $39,000 for the K2200
Deployment Appliance and $89,000 for the K1200 Management Appliance. A
single Dell KACE appliance typically manages up to 20,000 nodes. For
organizations with less than 3,000 computers, Dell KACE continues to
offer per-node pricing for appliances that start at $4,900 for the K2100
Deployment Appliance and $8,900 for the K1100 Management Appliance.
Special educational pricing is also available.

"Mid-sized
organizations are particularly challenged with meeting broad IT
management requirements with limited resources and budgets," offered
Steve Brasen, Senior Analyst, Enterprise Management Associates. "This
new pricing model from Dell KACE provides greater opportunity for
mid-sized organizations to adopt the broad functionality and simplified
management available with the Dell KACE appliances while attaining
easily justifiable cost-effectiveness."
