Lenovo and Brightpoint Delivers Lenovo ThinkPad laptops and Idea-branded PCs

Lenovo and
Brightpoint North America LP, a subsidiary of
Brightpoint, Inc., announced today that the companies
have entered into a new distribution agreement. Beginning in July,
business partners in the U.S. can purchase Lenovo ThinkPad laptops and Idea-branded PCs, including the ThinkPad X100e and IdeaPad S10-3t and S10-3 netbooks, from Brightpoint.

market, and adding Brightpoint as a new distributor strengthens our
commitment to the channel by introducing new partners who specialize in
wireless devices,” said Chris Frey, vice president, Consumer and
Commercial Channels, Lenovo North America. “These partners are looking
to expand their portfolio offerings, and the Lenovo-Brightpoint
collaboration can quickly bring innovation to these partners.”
The global mobile handset industry has
blossomed over the past decade with year-on-year subscriber growth rate
averages of 24%. As market saturation has increased, rural
carriers and national carrier affiliates are expanding their offerings
to new types of mobile devices. Lenovo’s ThinkPad laptops and
Idea-branded PCs address small business and consumer needs for wireless
connectivity and portability. These devices allow users to access to the
growing amount of data and applications available through mobile
broadband and associated cloud computing. 
The ThinkPad X100e professional-grade
ultraportable laptop and the IdeaPad S10-3 and S10-3t netbooks provide extensive connectivity in an
ultra-mobile design. The X100e blends performance, usability and design
and an extremely affordable price starting under $500. It comes equipped
with an 11.6 inch HD display, choices of AMD processors, optional 3G, a
full size contemporary style ThinkPad keyboard and dynamic red or black
designs. The IdeaPad S10-3t, a multitouch capacitive netbook tablet,
functions as a 10 inch clamshell netbook or the screen can be swiveled
180° for use as a tablet. Both the S10-3t and S10-3 are designed for fun
on the go with VeriFace facial recognition technology, Dolby headphone
audio and colorful expressive patterns.
