Gigabyte’s new GA – X58A -UD3R motherboard takes advantage of new SATA 3 connectivity and USB 3.0.
With ATX (24.4 x 30.5 cm) format, the Gigabyte GA – X58A – UD3R embeds a LGA1366 socket, this allows it to host an Intel Core i7, and six DDR3 slots, this allows to fit up to 24 GB of RAM.
The audio portion is assigned to Realtek ALC889 chipset for 7.1 high-definition sound via a dual output S/PDIF optical /S/PDIF coaxial and his party to a wired Realtek RTL8111E chipset for Gigabit Ethernet via an RJ -45, while his video part through up to four PCI -Express, which allows a multi-GPU solution.
For connection of data units, there were eight SATA II connectors, two SATA III connectors, an IDE connector, floppy connector, two eSATA II/USB 2.0, four USB 2.0 ports, two FireWire ports and two USB 3.0 ports. The specifications mention finally two PCI – Express x1, one PCI slot and just taken PS/2 keyboard and mouse.
The GA – Gigabit – X58A UD3R motherboard is sold around $250 on internet.
