Microsoft’s developer division continues to forge ahead with a variety of tools. Last week, the unit released, as expected, Beta 3 of Team Foundation Server (which is due to ship in 2006, not concurrently with the rest of the Visual Studio 2005 suite later this year). The Visual FoxPro team trotted out a public beta of Service Pack 1 of Visual FoxPro 9.0. In a related vein, Microsoft has posted for download Service Pack 2 for Windows SharePoint Services, the bulk of which are focused on security and performance enhancements, according to the company. Windows SharePoint Services is the collaboration engine that Microsoft is working to build into future versions of Windows.
