Dozens of owners of digital music player iPod nano first generation will be offered a new model.
After several dozen cases of abnormal heating encountered with the digital music player iPod nano first generation, sold between September 2005 and December 2006, Apple conducted its small survey to find the source of the problem and just decided to exchange defective equipment with new models.
The concern of overheating in question only affects iPods nano first generation sold in Japan and has originated from a defective battery from the same supplier. Noted when charging the battery, it has in most cases caused a distortion of the equipment and in some caused a fire to start.
Those who have experienced the same trouble and have not yet manifested are of course invited to do so as soon as possible to also benefit from the exchange of faulty equipment.
