Recently invited to participate in Taiwan’s Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) Project for Taiwan’s international brands and industry, MSI held a product launch in Taipei 101, the tallest building in Taiwan. MSI displayed the Wind U160, a notebook computer characterized by a super-slim body and exquisite craftsmanship.
The crowds present were delighted when spokesman, Lan Zhenglong, a Taiwanese celebrity known throughout greater China, sauntered down the catwalk carrying a GT/GX660, the world’s most powerful gaming laptop equipped with the most advanced hardware and audio technology. Similar shows with local personalities serving as spokes are slated for India, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Examples include former Miss Universe and guaranteed Bollywood box office draw Lara Dutta in India; in Indonesia, well known VJ, model, TV hostess, and actress Cathy Sharon; and Miss Vietnam Huong Giang. These superstars will be representing MSI and helping expand its NB market share in their countries.
MSI Marketing Director Sam Chern explains that growth in the information and communications industries in 2010 will be concentrated in Asia, especially in India, Indonesia, and Vietnam. MSI joined the IMC project to help give the image and recognition of Taiwan brands a boost in India, Indonesia, and Vietnam and to greatly increase visibility of MSI notebook computers on local markets.
