Citibank Korea Inc. has a string of information leaks to outside parties. The information includes customers’ bank transactions and free gift winners’ personal details.
Back on October 14, Citibank Korea said a connection failure occurred on its web banking site, which in turn disseminated the names and id numbers of 43 free gift winners. Just four days earlier on October 10, the bank also had its 24 customers’ personal details, such as names and credit card spending, leaked.
The global financial giant said, “Our webpage disorder has presumably stemmed from glitches in the process of upgrading its security patch. The customers concerned were confirmed to have incurred no damages”.
