TOY SHOP Toys R Us in the US has started taking pre-orders for the much awaited next generation console the PS3.
For $50 you can pre-order the new console which will come with a 60GB hard drive and two games. You can’t do it online and so have to pop into one of their shops.
Toys R Us is one of the bigger sellers of consoles and many were thinking they would put a hold on pre-orders of the PS3 for a few months.
This was because of the off-on-off-again relationship Sony seems to have with the release date of the box.
Rival store Gamestop is not taking pre-orders until after May.
We don’t know why, the retailers can stick the pre-order cash in the bank and make interest on it. If Sony never releases the PS3 or delays it still further, the retailers are still quids in, we suggest.
