Lineox releases Linux with Red hat’s GFS

The latest of Always Current Lineox Enterprise Linux includes packages built from Red Hat Global File system sources, the firm said.

Its version of Linux, said the firm in a statement, is always released when Red Hat intros bug, security fixes and new features.

The firm said that its distribution is available for download for €10 for one type of disk image, or €15 for both CD and DVD images. That compares with a RH cost of $4,198, Lineox claimed.

Global File System (GFS) is a POSIX compliant cluster file system and volume manager available for Lineox Enterprise Linux servers attached to a SAN (storage area network).

It’s incrementally scaleable from one to hundreds of servers and works on all standard Lineox Enterprise Linux servers, the firm said.
