Open source community plays a vital role in development of free products thus in return they contribute greatly in development of society. Many areas like educational institution, charitable organization, etc cannot afford commercial products on a wide range. For that open source tools are right substitute. Right now I had seen that it is possible to save the file in any format which is used widely today for Office files. Maybe you would not like the interface so much, but what matters here is productivity. Anyhow there are minor bugs related to cross compatibility between this tool and Microsoft Office. But that can be fixed by saving the file is compatible format.
