Design

If you look at the phone from the side face, it appears to be a
bar-shaped phone. It measures 115 mm in height, 62 mm wide and 12.5 mm
thick and weighs around 95 grams. This slim phone is solid and gives
sturdy feeling when taken in hands. Its high quality built material
gives luxury feel.

The screen of Micromax Q5 is 5.6 cm and offers 320 × 240 pixels
resolution supporting 262000 colors. The screen appears soothing and
colorful. The text is quiet visible, and images appear decent.

The most exciting feature of Micromax Q5 is Trackball Navigation with
Full QWERTY keypad. The keys have enough space and have bubble like
shape. The size is sufficient for a user to type a message faster with
heavier text word in it. That's cool!

Micromax Q5 also includes a round trackball for navigation, a call
button, a power/End button, a dedicated button for launching Facebook
app, a home button, a back button and a search button. We didn't found
any problem with the navigation button.

Phonebook and other feature

Micromax Q5 comes with contact book entries. New can create new caller
group and then add an image, ringtone and polyphonic ringtones. It also
features a unit converter, a world clock, a notepad, a stopwatch,
calculator, calendar, vibrate mode, speaker phone, SMS and MMS. You will
also find instant messenger, built-in Facebook app, USB mass storage,
and Opera mini browser, pc Syncing, stereo Bluetooth, conference call, a
voice memo recorder, voice dialing and much more. The absence of Email
and Push Email is disappointing though.

Connectivity

Micromax Q5 supports GPRS, EDGE and WAP 2.0 for internet surfing. You
may even use built-in Opera mini browser to experience faster browsing.
However you may find surfing limits due to shorter internal memory. This
phone even comes up with Facebook app preinstalled and you can connect
with your friend instantly with just a single click to the button
located on the left side of the navigation trackball with letter "f"
embedded on it. You can even transfer data via
