Monday Night Combat Review

Comes the fourth game of the Summer of Arcade line with which Microsoft
has tried to keep us entertained this summer pending the arrival of the
autumn full of juicy always pitches. After a classical platform (Limbo),
an arcade speed (Hurricane Hydro Thunder) and a platform for action
(Castlevania Harmony of Despair) comes this unusual action game where
futuristic fight in a sport in which we have to keep to save our pocket
money, either by hordes of robots and fight against other players via
Xbox Live.

Once the title for the first time, after viewing a video presentation
which is clear to us casual tone and mood of the game, the first thing
we will do is pass a very handy little tutorial in which we teach all
the skills of our character and the various robots enemies that we face.
Our character is handled in the third person and control is quite
simple and fast but we will be with him as we will see the different
classes have very distinguishing characteristics that make the control
of each character has some variations. We can jump, shoot and aim when
the gun permits and activate one of the three skills that each character
has, plus all the time shooting turrets mounted on the point set the
stage and raise our skills, which will cost us money and are very
different between different classes.

Basically all the characters have two weapons, among which we switch:
Class Assault rifle and a grenade launcher, a laser and a tank gun, a
pistol that support healthy if used in our allies and damages if the
enemies, the Gunner a machine gun and mortar, a dagger and a Killer
shurikenes, and their respective sniper rifle and a submachine gun.

In all six classes of characters with three different abilities each
one, from bombs, plan after a jump, carrying the body, pushing and
shoving, hacking turrets, air strikes, run and disguise itself as can
the Assassin class, set traps, etc. varied skills as you see as the
personality of each character class is very strong, including
differences in the control well as some move faster than others, this is
undoubtedly one of the most successful of the game because it changes
much the gameplay to control a class or otherwise. During the fighting
as we get money we enhance our abilities at any time by paying the
required amount later in the game can unlock the create your own
character class mixing abilities of the various classes.

The game has no plot, just know that we compete in a futuristic sport in
which she struggles to make money with their sponsors and advertisers,
and all imbued with enough humor. We have a unique single player mode in
which on a small stage we protect our bag of money of successive rounds
of attacks by robots, at the time where our purse is destroyed will end
the game. There are eight types of enemies that appear through the
doors, these are quite different from each other from the most
vulnerable and helpless, some fly, some in our grenades bouncing up
giants bring us things very difficult. At the lowest difficulty will
emerge neatly by the door and we have to beat a certain time, if we do
before that time the next horde arrived with the last. On higher
difficulties the number of rounds is extended and the doors that can
leave the enemy, turning the game quite complicated and demanding the
best of us.

Each enemy killed earns you a certain sum of money. Money you can spend
to improve your turrets of course, but also your character. Each class
has, as mentioned above, his own powers. Assassin for example, is able
to become invisible, to sprint a short distance and to blind his
opponents with a smoke bomb. Each of these powers can be improved in
exchange for a sum of money more or less consistently. You can imagine
the terrible dilemma that you needed to: improve the turret or your
character? All classes are very enjoyable to use and none seems to
prevail over another. Even if you can not escape the five assassins per
game (because Assassin is too coool with his sword, M’VOYAIS), you will
not feel so far in a weak position by using, at random, the Engineer
Class support usually neglected in this kind of play also all have a
pint to get rid of an enemy in one shot – almost – via a finish move as
we see around for some time .

Two game modes available to you. For the first, it will prevent – or one
to four – the waves of robots to destroy your Money Ball. The second,
the principle remains the same except for one thing: two teams of six
players compete in order to destroy the opponent Money Ball. In this
game mode, the waves of spam were still present and generated by the
computer. The player can send, however, when he wants and in exchange
for a certain sum of money, some additional robots and different
according to class. I tell you, choice of class forces, the strategy is
required. While the strategy is there. Improve your turrets or avatar?
What turrets built in such and such situations? What class to choose?
But all these existential questions we glossed over the lead after five
minutes of play there is more than the taste of blood that haunts you,
leaving any consideration is as futile as support your friend in a weak
position . In short, as in 90% of games teams currently on the market.

Luckily on stage at the points indicated we build a shooting turrets to
help us, you may be cheaper or more expensive to be of different types
so the money in the game becomes a very important factor for both to
defend ourselves better and to improve the skills of our character. We
may also activate jumps on stage as these have different heights, which
is sometimes very crucial to eliminate certain kinds of enemies. This
mode can be played together from the same console split-screen or online
is also where it reaches higher levels of fun with three other players,
is that we are facing a very oriented multiplayer title because we only
have one way for a player who is likely to get bored quickly so that
the rationale of this title is to be enjoyed on Xbox Live.

The other addition to the cooperative multiplayer mode is Crossfire,
where he will face two teams of six people in a much wider scenario in
order to get that bag of money from the opposing team. Here are the
other robots the same gameplay but this time belong to one of the two
teams differentiated by their color, and we’ll bring the robots to get
our team to the opposite base to end up with his bag of money .

The combination of the robots on both sides with the twelve participants
are thus the most fun game long and the real heart of the title, and
this is where we will verify the importance of different kinds of
characters and their usefulness. Be vigilant to protect our base, defeat
the robots, create and destroy turrets, beat the other characters and
to support our team not to lose track of the Assassin the other team as
it becomes invisible and we can surprise back, take care of the sniper
and not expose ourselves to it, to avoid destroying our robots so that
they can reach the opposite base … many different situations and very
fun at a frantic pace that hooked us and we will stick to control for
several hours despite the few maps available to us.

Although still very fun multiplayer team continues to give a feeling a
little poor shortage of game modes, there would have been over-all
include a classic or a capture the flag, we know that these modes are
well seen and are grateful to the developers that are committed to
something different, not new, but more ways to enrich the title game,
also a story mode that is not only destroying hordes of enemies would
have been wrong, so that strikes a careful and varied so much that’s the
game in terms of playable character classes very different, and what
little work is the amount of game modes.

Uber Entertainment has bet on a single card the entire game environment
backbone for the multiplayer teams to be reckoned with is very
successful and is extremely fun and addictive for the rewards we get and
our progression, but have forced the player to bet on the same letter
that can leave some sold, and profitability will depend on who can get
the game to have this success in Live, that in multiplayer action games
with a lot of weight exponents and those who are coming by we do not
know what the future holds for this game in a few weeks.

Technically the game has a right of graphics, a mix between serious
design and animation, very colorful and it works very well, even in
situations with more number of characters and enemies the game can give
the odd hitch, but quite understandable due to the load chart of certain
situations, yet to be a downloadable game with beautiful graphics are

The character design is inevitable comment reminiscent of Team Fortress
2, that game is not invent anything in terms of design but it was pretty
cool and original to be an action title, and Monday Night Combat seems
more to be inspired by moments that he has plagiarized directly, but
then has a touch of originality as the eccentric sport mascot that
appears from time to time to give money, and whose appearance and are
the least funny strutting while disturbing. The music is from the pile
and simply follows and the game has English voices with subtitles and
have not been appearing mainly on the eve of the fighting, but who can
not understand not miss anything remarkable, the remaining texts
themselves are in Castilian.

We are facing a game that fun for a while in single player mode that
entertains a lot more when we play so well together and that shines in
the multiplayer online for teams. Go use it will vary depending on their
assessment, and if you create a strong community in the coming weeks is
a very cost effective option in terms of hours of fun, but had not been
on more than they had this great way surrounded by other to give more
variety to the title and that is not so easy to fall into monotony, such
as a single player mode at least mediocre and more complex multiplayer
or otherwise. A fun title, nice, very fresh and different in action,
with a good goal posts that could have gone further with a little
ambition by its developers, but that is simply a good game, which is no
small but it is another to add to the Bazaar where without excellence is
increasingly difficult to stand out from so many good games.

A cross between a tower defense and Team Fortress 2, Monday Night Fight
is very enjoyable to play. Unfortunately the game is quickly sealed by
its repetitiveness and its general lack of variety in the objectives of
play Monday Night Fight Yet had it all and be a hit on Xbox Live Arcade.
It remains as a pleasant and above average. If done again and again the
same thing does not scare you, then it may well become one of your
little darlings. Otherwise, go your way.
