Voice Finger 2.1...

Voice Finger is a software tool that enables you to control your mouse and keyboard just using your voice, in the fastest possible way.

Instead of using the Windows default speech recognition way of clicking at a point on the screen, which requires a lot of sucessive commands, Voice Finger uses a 44 x 44 grid to click anywhere on the screen, most of the time with just one command. With Voice Finger, you do not need to use sucessive voice commands to click at the right spot, you can click any spot on the screen often with a single command.

In the Keyboard Mode, you use short commands to type and navigate the cursor. Just to take a couple of examples, instead of the Windows default voice command "Press A", in Voice Finger you just say "A", and instead of saying "Press down thirty times", in Voice Finger commands are like "Down thirty". With short and direct commands anywhere, the user does more work and avoid tiredness.

Free Virtual Keyboar...

Free Virtual Keyboard works on any Windows based UMPC with a passive touchscreen (Ultra-mobile PC, Tablet PC and Panel PC). This handy keyboard has keys large enough to be typed with the fingertips.

Text Ticker 2.4...

Text Ticker, a “scrolling banner” or “marquee”, scrolls the contents of a plain text file at the top or bottom of a monitor, or floating anywhere. The text appears in a so-called “appbar” which is similar to the Windows Taskbar and can be dragged to any position on the desktop. All settings (font, color, text file, etc.) are saved between sessions.

Any plain text file can be dropped on the ticker and the program will begin to scroll that file's contents. (Actually, any file at all can be used, but only plain text files are readable by humans!) A file can also be browsed for and loaded by selecting Load File on the menu. Text Ticker can also be started with a specific file by dropping the file on the Text Ticker application icon, or by setting up shortcuts with the filename as the only command line parameter. It also can be changed in the Options window.

Left-clicking the tray icon alternately shows and hides the ticker. Double-clicking the ticker pauses the scrolling.

Multiple tickers can be run, each with its own file, speed, colors, etc. Each one acts independently. When you later start Text Ticker, the first one's settings will be used; if you start a second one, the second one's settings will be used, etc.

The popup menu is available by right-clicking either the ticker or the tray icon. When the ticker is hidden, only the tray icon gives access to the program. In this case, the menu only offers Restore, Help, About, and Exit. Select Options to open the Options window.

Text Ticker uses very little system resources and takes up little screen space, making it ideal for reminding yourself of encouraging words, help with memorization, watching a log file or any other text file that changes periodically.

Options window:

Main tab:

  • Font can use any font installed on your system, including any size and color available. Note that some combinations may not work well. Some italic fonts do not scroll smoothly. In vertical mode, larger fonts, especially in certain color combinations, may flicker. This depends on machine speed and video card.
  • Font Color gives you more precise control of the font color.
  • Bar Color selects the main, or background, color of the ticker.
  • Scroll the text horizontally or vertically one line at a time.
  • Use a frame. The floating bar can only be sized when the frame is visible.
  • Stay on top of other windows.
  • Don't move icons and windows to accommodate the ticker.
  • Display (or not) an icon in the Windows System Tray (next to the clock). If the tray icon is disabled, it will still show up if the ticker is hidden.
  • Completely hide the ticker instead of minimize.
File tab:
  • Use a file from the internet.
  • Type the URL of the web file (or copy and paste from a web browser).
  • Use a local file. This can be any file Windows can access directly (local drives, mapped drives, network shares, etc.).
  • The current local file is displayed in the box. You can type or paste in this box.
  • Click Local File to browse for a file.
Lines tab:
  • Scroll the whole file or just the first or last part. Showing the first (or last) several lines makes a good log watcher.
  • Number of lines to show.
  • Comment character. Lines starting with this character will be ignored.
Auto tab:
  • The automatic hide and show functions are useful when Auto Reload is used.
  • Hide/minimize the ticker if a nonexistent file is attempted to be loaded.
  • Hide/minimize the ticker if the file loaded is empty.
  • Hide/minimize the ticker after so many seconds.
  • Auto Reload will check to see if the file has a new timestamp, and if so, reload it.
  • If the ticker is hidden/minimized, show it when the file content changes.
  • If the ticker is minimized (not hidden) on a screen edge, show it when the mouse moves to that edge.
  • Continue scrolling so many seconds after pausing.

WPF Touch Screen Key...

WPF Touch Screen Keyboard is a re-usable control and toolkit for anyone developing a touch screen application in WPF.

As it stands the project was purpose built to be able to define keyboard layouts in code and only needed one style. I'm currently refactoring the project so that you will be able to define a ControlTemplate and Styles for the keys and try to make life easy for defining different keyboard layouts and interaction. I'll also be providing some more comprehensive and useful default keyboard controls you can use right out of the box. Keep an eye out for the next version! In the meantime if the control is styled appropriately for you it has been tested and is production ready.
