Ys I&II Chronicles PSP Trailer
Ys I & II Chronicles is an action role-playing game for the PSP. This version is a compilation of reprints of the PC first two episodes of the series Ys. Edits were made on the graphics and the soundtrack has undergone a facelift. And of course the gameplay has been adapted to the PSP. Packages together two historically significant classics with extras, incredible soundtrack, nicely retouched art. Archaic combat, odd difficulty balance, surprising lack of voice acting. Ys I & II Chronicles captures the timeless and classic Action RPG combat of these early titles and pairs it with a fresh translation, newly-arranged music and re-imagined art.
The quintessential Action RPG experience, Ys I & II Chronicles immerses players in an expansive puzzle-filled world of layered dungeons and monstrous fortresses. Traps and challenges wait around each turn, and players must rely on an arsenal of skills and creativity in order to prevail. Ys I & II Chronicles features a unique, lightning-fast buttonless combat system that simply begs to be mastered; speed, angle and trajectory all determine the success of an attack. Ys II adds an array of spells to aid adventurer Adol in his quest, including everything from fireballs to transfiguration. In addition, players have four levels of difficulty to keep them coming back, ranging from “Easy” to “Nightmare.” And complementing all of this is an equally thrilling soundtrack, with the unique option to toggle between three different versions at any time: Chronicles-exclusive new arrangements featuring live instrumentation from Falcom’s in-house band, synthesized tracks from the 2001 Japan-only Windows release of the two games, and the original chiptune versions of each track as recorded in 1987 and 1988, encompassing the best of gameplay and usic in a classic gaming fan’s ideal package.
