Acer launches new mobile phone Touch S200 the first mobile brand running Windows Mobile 6.5. This embeds a powerful processor and a large touch screen.
This smartphone will carry the latest version of Windows Mobile 6.5 and the interface Acer UI 3.0. The interface will provide a contact manager and a specific timetable and a new keyboard. Furthermore, Acer will offer a special portal to access various social networks like Blogger, Flickr, Youtube … a dedicated application will also allow access to Facebook.
Other specific manufacturer’s utility Acer Sync will synchronize the S200 with your computer address books, contacts, calendars, photos and videos via USB and even Wi-Fi, Active Sync that Microsoft no longer offers. Frequency synchronization is of course configurable.
Technically speaking, this high-end features a resistive touch screen 3.8 inch for a resolution of 480×800 pixels (WVGA), a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 1Ghz of 256MB of RAM and a ROM memory of 512MB expandable to 32GB via microSD slot.
The connectivity will all go to: A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, WiFi standard b / g and also access to the 3G + connection with 7.2 Mbps HSPA. All this, plus the 3.5mm audio jack connectors to put any audio output.
Note that the videos are captured at 640×480 pixels (VGA) to 3GP format, but older format that tends to be replaced by multi-platform formats (MP4, AVI, etc..) The 1350mAh battery should give the Acer S200 autonomy 400h standby communication
