World renown mainboard brand manufacturer MSI on November 15 kicked off their global "Xtreme Speeder" P55 online overclocking competition. To show MSI’s appreciation and support for overclocking masters from all over the world, and at the same time to further encourage your efforts, this challenge comes along with a specially valuable awards amounting up to a whooping US$ 7,500. Every week one winner among the OC geniuses will be drawn and awarded with the brand new Big Bang-Fuzion mainboard!
The MSI "Xtreme Speeder" P55 global online overclocking competition is conducted in cooperation with the well-known overclocking website HWBOT. It will last for an entire 4 weeks starting November 15 and finishing December 13. As there are extremely lucrative prizes to be won, many OC champions have already started heated and excited discussions on major overclocking websites and forums upfront reading themselves for the challenge and preparing the gear and equipment that supposedly will put them into the pole position. This time the competition is restricted to participants using a MSI P55 mainboard and regular retail Intel Lynnfield CPUs only. Accumulated scores of the CPU-Z, SuperPI 32M and Wprime 32M test suits will determine the winners. At the end of the competition three single category winners as well as three accumulated score winners will be chosen, furthermore there will be prize for the best score achieved with an Intel Core i5 processor and one additional award for the work record breaker. The total prize money amounts up to US$ 7,500. If you are the best overclocker in the entire crowd it could even happen that you catch all these special awards on your own.
