Nokia is working on new version Ovi Store




Nokia prepares half version of its application store Ovi
Store. The first version shot on some holes, says the manufacturer. The new Ovi
Store users will include recommendations based on purchases from friends.

The new version of the Ovi Store in the spring should be
available to the public, says the manufacturer at the Financial Times
newspaper. It is critical to heart that users had expressed, including social
networking site Twitter.

Nokia launched its download store for Symbian and S40
applications this spring. Meanwhile there are one million applications
downloaded per day, considerably less than the number of downloads from the App
Store from Apple rival. There are estimated between five and ten million
applications downloaded per day. The new Ovi Store downloads to be more
concerned.

The new version of Ovi Store gets a new interface, allowing
more applications to be found. Also there is a possibility for payment in one
application, for example in making a game extra levels could be purchased. In
the longer term, a system stack, so a user gets recommended applications based
on what friends have downloaded.

The Ovi Store can be used with phones with Nokia’s own S60
or Symbian OS S40 out. It is also envisaged that the Ovi Store used to go with
Maemo 5, the OS of the Nokia N900. Ovi Store which is not yet available, but in
the firmware of the N900 is the client already installed. This suggests that
the Finnish manufacturer Maemo-download store will  open soon.
