99Games, leading developer and publisher of iPhone and iPod touch
games, today announced the update of its hugely popular word game,
WordsWorth. The game had received rave reviews from word-game fanatics
all over the world after its release last year. It was the top-selling
word game and also got featured in the‘What’s Hot’ section across
several App Stores.
WordsWorth involves linking letters that are arranged in a honeycomb
structure to form words. The longer the word, the more points a player
obtains. The game offers a lot of customization in terms of the grid
size and word lists that a player can choose from. Players also have an
option of shuffling the board to get new letters. WordsWorth v2.0
offers a completely revamped user interface with a 3D feel to the
letters.
“Although WordsWorth is an excellent game in terms of quality, it
had a simpler user interface in comparison to other similar word games.
With this update, all that has changed”, said Anila Andrade of
99Games.“With the addition of vibrant colors, WordsWorth will now seem
like a new game altogether”, she added.
In the new update, the game has a couple of new features like
viewing the words created anytime in landscape mode and looking up
meaning of the words formed from three different sources. For players
who would like to display their high scores, the game has a Facebook
and Twitter connect feature. The company plans to release an update
with additional features in the coming weeks.
The game is now available on the App Store for $ 1.99.
