More than any other area, violations of copyright are the leading cause of removal of links to the Google search engine that responds to requests for such information. Microsoft is the most concerned.
Google updates its Transparency Report . It allows to know the places in the world of Google services are blocked (blocking government or technical problem), the number of requests for removal of content, applications for governments to obtain information about users.

During the month of April alone, Google has received for its search engine nearly 1.25 million requests for URLs to be deleted for some 24,000 targeted areas. Queries that have involved nearly 1,300 holders.

Also for the month of April, nearly half of URLs subject to a removal request (543,748) were related to data protected by the copyright of Microsoft . So it’s a little surprise. The recording industry and film is second in the URL removal requests by the U.S. software giant.
Across a year, it’s still Microsoft who leads more than 2.5 million URLs on nearly 2,3,500 domains. The podium is completed by NBC Universal and the RIAA.
