Spotify Discover Launched for everyone

Spotify has finally launched the “Discover” function accessible to all from the web browser

Spotify Discover is now announced with great fanfare after nearly six months. Founder and CEO Daniel Ek himself had recognized that the functions of music discovery service demands were not up to par.

Until recently, users of the service could actually discover music accessing one by one to the reading lists of contacts or using the radio function.

Spotify began its shift to the discovery last month with the launch of artist profiles and personalities and feature subscription.

The “Discover” today completes the project now. It also relies on subscriptions and the algorithm to present personalized radio as a flow recommendations. The editors of existing applications are also involved.

Concretely experience suggests the user songs, albums, playlists or concerts (via Songkick) and articles (for example via Pitchfork) based on its history of reading and its subscriptions section. When the user finds a musical content, they can click and hold on it to hear a sample. Reading the queue resumes immediately.

The new Spotify Discover feature is available to all now from the web browser here – play.spotify.com
