Asus VivoPC and VivoMouse announced at Computex 2013

Among many other announcement, Asus unveiled this week its first miniature PC, called the VivoPC, at Computex. For the living room, it is accompanied by a dedicated mouse, equipped with a touchpad, called the VivoMouse.

With aluminum brushed and compact dimensions: VivoPc from Asus comes around, in line with what Intel promises with its concept of miniature PC. Here, the dimensions are slightly larger, since we are talking of a 19 cm base square of about 5.5 cm high.

Asus intends to offer its VivoPC effect based on Intel Haswell (4th generation), and chose to allow easy access to the living and the memory storage of the machine (in 2.5 or 3.5 inches). It is sufficient to remove the top cover to access these two elements, which allows to change it easily.



In terms of multimedia, Asus relies on processor capabilities but adds a personal touch with audio side, the introduction of its SonicMaster technology via two stereo speakers and a connection to HDMI, SPDIF, Ethernet, memory card reader and USB 3.0. as well as 802.11ac WLAN controller is also present.

The VivoMouse, is an optional mouse specifically developed by Asus, which combines the functions of touchpad (the central circular area), pointer and conventional optical mouse. It is designed to help and control the system both from a sofa on a table or desk, with support specific to Windows 8 gesture controls. In any case, answer will come probably around September, when both products will enter the market.
