
The new tablet of Nexus 7 has passed the mandatory certification of U.S. FCC, delivering some information about its characteristics.
The new generation of the Nexus 7 tablet will also be produced by Asus for Google and could be unveiled during the month of July. An indirect confirmation of this calendar is provided by its presence in the documents of the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), whose certifications are generally the last link before the marketing of products a few weeks later.
The Nexus 7 HD model identified as the K009 reference is built by Asus and refers to the Nexus brand. The documents confirm that especially for this model, the CPU vendor to 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ-8064 S4 Pro processor.
There is also mention of a 4000 mAh battery, a 5 megapixel camera on the back (the first Nexus 7 has a 1.2 megapixel front camera) and a 7″ screen on 4G LTE compatibility (Nexus has only integrated cellular modem recently).
With the appearance of these documents on the FCC website, a launch in July of the Nexus 7 2 is likely going to happen.
