The email application on Blackberry BBM on Android will be available by the end of September, the news is confirmed by the general manager of the firm in India during an interview.
Announced last May on iOS and Android, Blackberry Messenger was scheduled for the summer launch on both platforms, but it could eventually happen in September. This was suggested by Sunil Lalvani, CEO of Blackberry in India, during a given interview on IBN site.
The senior official confirmed that BBM will happen “this summer” on Android, but stated that “the summer in North America lasts until September.” A more or less subtle to say that the application arriving will actually fall usually in late September.
Sunil Lalvani has, by cons, if not indicated iOS version will also happen at the same time. However, we imagine that Blackberry will not let a big time move between the arrival of iOS and Android Version: Canadian company wants to expand the user base of its service, which will be initially limited to instant messaging and communication between groups outside Blackberry OS. The app is free and will require at least iOS 6.0 and Android 4.0 to run.
