AMD Catalyst 13.10 Beta Drivers available for download

If it still takes its time to deliver a so-called final version of its Catalyst drivers, AMD has not been idle in terms of beta, as evidenced tonight, a beta version of 13.10 is now available for download.

AMD has posted a new version of its Catalyst drivers for Windows, including the numbering jumps to September (13.9) to get directly to October: 13.10 beta. The U.S. firm stated that all the improvements proposed by the Catalyst 13.8 beta 2 are included, starting with management frame pacing, which is improved here for several games like Tomb Raider, Metro Last Light, WoW, Max Payne 3 and Hitman Absolution.

AMD also states that it corrected a malfunction that may be related to a second GPU in CrossFire configuration which is limited to 1x PCI-Express bus. Finally, it promises improved performance for Saints Row 4, Total War: Rome 2 and Metro Last Light in CrossFire, in the order of 10% to 20% in 2560 x 1600 extreme or ultra settings. We can download the beta 13.10 for desktop PC or laptop, or consult the release notes via this link.
