Internet Explorer 11 browser for Windows 7 now available for download

Microsoft delivers the final version of Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 operating system.

After Windows 8.1 where it is present by default, it is the turn of Windows 7 to qualify for Internet Explorer 11. With Windows 7, there is obviously no question of Modern UI. We therefore find almost the same IE11 on the Windows 8.1 desktop.

Compared to IE10, the user interface does not vary. This is for example the case with the side JavaScript engine Chakra entitled to upgrade to the JIT. To accelerate the loading sites, IE11 leverages GPU acceleration of text rendering and native decoding of JPG images in real time on the GPU.

It comes with support for Web standards, HTML5 video without plugins and new development tools. All details are given in this blog. Compared to IE11 on Windows 8.1 (Office), however it should be noted the absence of support for SDPY protocol.

Internet Explorer 11 is available here for download. An automatic update to users of Windows 7 will be made available later.
