
The Taiwanese manufacturer Asus has unveiled a new smartphone called PadFone E which can act as a smartphone or tablet.
The PadFone concept is to recall a smartphone that can convert into a touch pad with a sort of touch-screen dock in which it fits.
With this new model, that comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the user switches between a smartphone of 126 grams with a 4.7-inch display and 1280 x 720 pixels resolution to a touch pad of 526 grams with 10.1-inch display in a 720p resolution. Note also that the dock features a 5000 mAh battery for its power (smartphone battery comes with a capacity of 1820 mAh).
To check the rest of the specs of the smartphone or touchscreen tablet, the choice fell on the Snapdragon 400 Qualcomm platform with a quadcore processor clocked at 1.4 GHz and 1 GB RAM. In terms of functionality, you can enjoy 2G/3G+/Wi-Fi N network connections, two SIM housing, a GPS module, a 13/1080p with LED flash megapixel sensor, a 1.2 Megapixel front sensor/720p, Bluetooth 4.0 and Micro USB 2.0/mini-jack. Storage through a memory (unspecified for the moment) to complete with a MicroSD card (up to 64GB) and a Cloud Asus WebStorage (5 GB).
Availability must intervene in the current quarter with a choice of color in white or black. The prices have not been disclosed yet.
