Refurbishment of Skype for iPhone version continues to fill its gaps as reported on the official website. It is again possible to listen to voice messages.
Last month, the Microsoft Skype division delivered a refurbishment of Skype for iPhone version. This 5.0 version has quickly given a 5.1 update mainly reflecting user feedback. This is also the case of Skype 5.2 which is now available in the Apple App Store.
Skype 5.2 for iPhone reintroduced indeed support for voicemail whose withdrawal with the launch of version 5.0 was reacted by users. When a contact sends a voice message to a user (even if it is offline), it appears in the conversation and you can listen directly by pressing the play button.
The email application also proposes to view profiles from the list of contacts and so to take a look at their status, Skype name, birthday, location time. During a conversation, simply type the contact name for the profile.
Another change in Skype 5.2 is adding participants to existing conversations via the main menu in the lower right corner of the conversation.
