Indian manufacturer Micromax is about to launch a new smartphone with an octa-core processor.
Called Canvas A290 and coming with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, this smartphone would house indeed a platform with 1.4 GHz octacore CPU and 1GB of RAM. It will most likely be supplied by MediaTek MT6592 solution that we already have aboard on the phablet Redmi Note unveiled in March by Xiaomi.
It would also provide with a back camera sensor 8 megapixel/1080p with autofocus and LED flash, a front camera sensor 5 megapixels, flash memory of 8 GB expandable to 32 GB with a microSD card and a battery capacity of 2010 mAh.
Nothing has leaked on network connectivity. But in terms of positioning and patterns of the brand, it most likely will offer dual-SIM with 3G support and Wi-Fi 802.11n.
No word either on the display part is given, whether for the diagonal or the definition. 5 inch 720p maybe?
At the side of price finally, rumors speak of 13,000 rupees, the equivalent of 160 euros.
