
Acer announces Chromebook 13 equipped with a 13.3-inch display and a SoC NVIDIA Tegra K1, the proposed CB5-311 from 299€ and promises 13 hours of battery life.
Being the second manufacturer in the world behind Samsung Chromebooks, Acer today formalizes the arrival of its Chromebook 13. This laptop is running the Chrome OS operating system with a 13.3 inch screen with anti-reflective treatment that displays at 1980 x 1080 or 1366 x 768 pixels.
It depends on the version. With the Full HD version, autonomy will go until 11:30, while with HD resolution of 1366 x 768, it will be up to 13 hours. For now, Acer announced that the availability of the Full HD version is restricted to certain countries.
With the dimensions of 327 x 227.5 x 17.95 mm and weight of 1.5 kg, the Chromebook referenced CB5-311 is an exception in the range of Acer since it does not rely on an Intel architecture but with ARM SoC NVIDIA Tegra K1. The latter includes four ARM Cortex-A15 CPU clocked at 2.1 GHz and 192 cores of GPU.
The CB5-311 has 4GB of RAM and a 32GB SSD, two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, etc.
