Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 launched with 6-inch 720p HD display

It is already available in Asia for about a month and yet Samsung has not officially announced its Galaxy Mega 2, a smartphone with the size of XXL.

This is now done! Launched discreetly in Asia, the Galaxy Mega 2 now offers a bit of advertising, and Samsung now communicates to formalize its existence.

Strangely, since the smartphone in question is already available for purchase in Malaysia for a little over a month already. But the release of the iPhone 6 Plus has probably aroused the instinct of competition for the South Korean manufacturer.

The Galaxy Mega 2 is a smartphone with a XXL size display since its touchscreen is based on IPS 6 inches diagonally but with a little light definition of 1280 x 720 pixels resolution for this size. The quality will remain the rendezvous, but it is far from the qHD display of the Galaxy Note 4.

The smartphone is at the mid-range segment. It features a well SoC Exynos 4415 quad-core (Cortex A9) processor running at 1.5 GHz associated with a graphics chip of Mali-400MP4 and 1.5GB of RAM.

On the storage side, the Galaxy Mega 2 carries 16 GB, expandable via microSD card up to 64GB, and comes with Android 4.4 KitKat. There are also the usual connectivity of WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G, NFC, etc.

Unfortunately, Samsung has not provided any release date for Europe or any of its price.
