After the BlackBerry Passport, the Canadian manufacturer launches another model, the BlackBerry Classic, whose characteristics are refined ahead of its official announcement.
The smartphone BlackBerry Passport was unveiled last September and confirmed the new strategy in the Canadian manufacturer of mobile devices now turned to the professional segment. Its unique design, with its square screen and full keyboard, back in fact to the ranges of smartphones that have made the success of the brand.
But preparing another BlackBerry model, its CEO John Chen had mentioned the earlier existence this year and has promised for the end of the year. The smartphone was presented as a return to the smartphone keyboard.
Some leaks have given an idea of the smartphone but N4BB website offers new images and detailed specifications of the BlackBerry Classic. We must therefore expect a BlackBerry 10 smartphone features with a 3.5-inch square display and resolution of 720 x 720 pixels (not 1440 x 1440 pixels as the BlackBerry Passport) with a dual core processor of Qualcomm MSM8960 1.5 GHz associated with 2GB of RAM.
It will have an 8 megapixel digital camera on the back with flash and image stabilization, and a 2-megapixel digital camera on the front. It will carry 16 GB of internal memory expandable with microSD card, while the battery will provide a capacity of 2515 mAh with the possibility of Qi wireless charging.
On the screen, we will find an area with four buttons and a trackpad, below which presents a four-row keyboard, again distinct from the three rows of the BlackBerry Passport keyboard and more consistent with the BlackBerry habits.
BlackBerry Classic smartphone will of course ship the 4G and WiFi wireless connectivity, Bluetooth and NFC is also included. It remains to be seen when the smartphone will be launched.
