Asus announces a brand new MeMO Pad 10-inch tablet. Positioned below 200 euros, it will jostle with many cheap models of small brands.
Identifiable with its reference product ME103K, this touch pad runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and relies on an old (but efficient) platform of Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro with quad-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and 1GB of RAM.
Accusing a little over 500 grams on the scale, it offers a 10.1-inch IPS screen of 1280 x 800 pixels (resolution 149 dpi), a stereo system with SonicMaster technology, a wireles network connection of Wi-Fi N, a storage space of 16GB expandable MicroSD (not to mention the Asus Cloud of 5GB) and camera sensors of 0.3/2 Megapixel (or 5 megapixels in some markets). In terms of autonomy, the battery gives hope to edge up to 9 hours and 30 minutes.
In Europe, it is found from 169 euros. A price that should allow Asus to stay competitive with low-cost models for small brands such as those from the retail stores.
