
Philips brand is about to market a large PC monitor with high definition.
This is the Philips BDM4065UC monitor that offers a diagonal of 40 inches (101.6 centimeters) and a 4K Ultra HD resolution (or 3840 x 2160 pixels).
Based on a VA slab treated against glare, it offers gray response time of 3 milliseconds, a refresh rate of 60 Hz (in DisplayPort, HDMI as 30 Hz), a brightness level of 300 candelas per meter square, a static contrast ratio of 5000:1 and viewing angles of 176 degrees.
Besides that, it offers extra audio system delivering up to 7 Watts, a headphone jack and a USB 3.0 hub with four ports. As for its connectivity, it will include HDMI and DisplayPort as mentioned above, but also VGA and mini-jack.
Its availability on the shelves is scheduled for late December or early January with a price that is expected to be around 800 euros. This is obviously for the professional market that will be targeted.
