Again, publications of TENAA certification body were an opportunity to discover a new smartphone. Today there is a Asus X002 model positioned at midrange.
The smartphone Asus X002 uses a 64-bit MediaTek MT6732 processor (composed of quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 running at 1.5 GHz) and RAM of 1 GB or 2 GB.
Coming with Android KitKat 4.4.4, it offers a 720p display on a diagonal of 5 inches, 4G/LTE Category 4 with data rates (up to 150 Mbit/s downstream and up to 50 Mbit/s on upload) on one SIM slot, camera sensor of 8-megapixel at rear and 5 megapixels for selfies. It also offers a flash memory of 8 GB with MicroSD possibility of extension for the reception of data.
The Asus X002 smartphone is reminiscent of some Asus Zenfone 5 recently arrived on the market to 249 or 279 euros. Both offer the same features, unlike the processor (with MediaTek for Asus X002 and Qualcomm to Asus Zenfone 5) and the front camera sensor (with a 5 megapixels for Asus X002 and a 2- megapixel for Asus Zenfone 5). So we seem to be facing a simple variant for the Asian market.
