Sony rumored to launch 12.9-inch Android Tablet in first half of 2015

The rumor of a large 12.9-inch tablet with Sony for the beginning of next year is tough and once again confirmed via information from supply chains.

The Sony group seems to be the next manufacturer to launch a large touch pad in the year 2015 and whose assembly should be entrusted to Pegatron, which already occupies Apples iPad and Microsoft Surface product.

Its supposed characteristics revolve around a 12.9-inch display with resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels and a processor provided by Qualcomm (we think the future Snapdragon 810). The tablet also involves a 8 megapixel camera on the back but measuring only 8.6 mm thick.

This large Sony tablet would be launched in the first half of 2015 and should position at the top range, with a price exceeding $1,000, according to the site Digitimes. It probably will explore the boundary between multimedia touch pad and laptop and aims perhaps more professional.

Also according to Digitimes, supply chains would be ready and would not wait for the green light for mass production. These information are consistent with those published just before Christmas in China about a large Sony Xperia Tablet Ultra Z4.
