Open and free GeekDOS aimed at nostalgic for the MS-DOS eager to rediscover their old games that worked with such famous shooter first-person Doom and Duke 3D or game management park Theme Park.
Based on the open source FreeDOS project which adds a GUI and some tools, this operating system can run on old computers. The author shows a minimum configuration with AMD / Intel 386 and 16 MB of RAM, an installation on the hard drive or boot from a CD or USB stick.
The release notes for the new version 17.01 mention the addition of a drawing tool, an indicator of battery power for laptops, a recovery tool from the command line, a tool for ‘write disk image, adding the driver CTMOUSE and various improvements.
