
Panasonic unveils a new group of smartphone called U2 Eluga, a mid-range model running Android Lollipop environment.
The Panasonic Eluga U2 smartphone uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 platform with its quad-core 64-bit processor, RAM of 2GB, Adreno 306 GPU solution and modem of 4G/LTE Cat 4 (up to 150 Mbit/s reception). It offers a 5-inch IPS screen in a definition of 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, camera sensors of 5 and 13 megapixels, a 16GB internal memory expandable with MicroSD card and battery of 2500 mAh. All in dimensions of 14.2 x 7.1 x 0.8 cm and weighing 131 grams.
The Panasonic Eluga U2 smartphone has been announced in Asia for the equivalent of 230 euros, and no indication for now is given for an international distribution in different markets. Given the strategy of Japanese giant home in mobility, better not to count on it in fact. It offers many tablets and Toughbook notebooks for the professional market, but not smartphones to the general public.
