NEC pulled the wraps off a new
LCD that is aimed at design pros. The LCD is called the
PA241W and it is designed for the design pro that works with graphic
design, video editing, print production, and other content where colors
are critical.
NEC claims the monitor is good for 102% coverage of NTSC and
99.3% coverage of Adobe RGB color gamuts. The screen has a 38% smaller
footprint than previous screens from NEC of the same size. It also
features a 10-bit DisplayPort adapter and a USB hub.
The native resolution is 1920 x 1200 and the screen features a
10-bit IPS panel with a 14-bit lookup table providing for almost 1
billion colors. The contrast ration is 1000:1 and the screen also
features DVI-D input. The stand I ergonomic with tilt, swivel,
height-adjust, and pivot. Pricing on the screen is $1079 and it is
shipping now.
