SQL Server Developers to get Webcast Series by Idera

Idera, a leading provider of management and administration solutions for Microsoft SQL Server, today announced a new installment in the "Secrets of SQL Server" webcast series titled "The SQL Developer’s Guide to Solving Database Administration Headaches." From the presentation, SQL Server developers and database administrators will learn tips, tricks and solutions to common administrative challenges. The event takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 3 p.m. CT, and is hosted by Donabel Santos, a SQL DBA, developer and trainer at Black Ninja Software and an instructor at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Many SQL developers are dealing with an increasing number of administrative tasks traditionally assigned to DBAs. In this episode of "Secrets of SQL Server," Santos will provide best practices for identifying and resolving common administrative issues encountered by SQL Server developers during the course of a development project. Santos will also share ways that DBAs and developers can work together to increase efficiency and avoid those terrible "oops" moments.

"SQL developers not only have the job of implementing a SQL Server based business application, they must also coordinate with and sometimes take on the role of the DBA," said Rick Pleczko, President and CEO of Idera. "This webcast will teach SQL developers new skills they can immediately put to good use in their organization, improving their productivity and increasing their ability to deliver their applications on time and within budget."

This is the first of a two-part series presented by Donabel Santos. The next webcast in this series titled "Exploring SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services" will air April 14, 2010 at 3 p.m. CT.
