S2 Security Expands SMB Market with Browser-Based System

S2 Security, manufacturer of
the S2 NetBox and S2 Enterprise integrated IP-based physical security
systems, today released details of the S2 Pronto for small to mid-size
businesses. S2 Pronto brings the company’s signature integrated security
management capabilities to small to mid-size organizations. S2 Pronto
will be on view later this month in booth #9109, ISC West 2010, Las
Vegas, March 24-26.

Until now, smaller organizations have not had access to a
robust and full-featured web-based network appliance to handle their
physical security. With the introduction of S2 Pronto, S2 Security
raises the bar for small to mid-size business owners who want a
sophisticated, feature-rich browser-based system that is easy to use and
costs less to install, own and operate than traditional lower-end
systems. Like the S2 NetBox, S2 Pronto can be managed remotely by the
system owner and supports video monitoring, access control, and alarm
capabilities.

"Small and mid-sized businesses want to take advantage of some
of the same capabilities that larger system users want," said John L.
Moss, CEO of S2 Security. "With S2 Pronto, small and mid-size
organizations finally have access to a 100% browser-based physical
security system packaged and priced with their scale in mind. S2 is
offering smaller organizations access to third generation technology,
and installers and distributors an opportunity to address this market in
a whole new way."

Designed for systems that have up to 32 access control readers
and 8 total network nodes, the S2 Pronto has a completely new user
interface that makes operation of the system simple for users of any
skill level. Axis and IQinvision cameras have enhanced live viewing
capabilities, and a novel home page gives the system user an instant
snapshot of system status. For the ultimate in simplified operation, S2
Pronto has enhanced support for touch screens.
