App development company for Smarthphones, Latin3G has released SismosMX 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch devices. SismosMX is a new app for Mexican users that warns them about seismic movements, when an earthquake is happening at the moment, and the exact place and the main risk areas in any part of Mexico.
With information from the National Seismological Service (SSN for Spanish), the application allows users to monitor earthquakes in the country and it alerts from any quake, replica and the most risky zones during the seism. All this pointed in a satellite map which also shows earthquakes greater than a certain scale, as well as the most recent and a record of the last ones.
SismosMX can be configured to show the magnitude, epicenter, date, hour and the depth of the lasts seismic movements. The user can see his location through a GPS service to know how close is to the earthquake zones. Another advantage is that the user gets notifications even if the app is not open, this way he will have information at the moment of the quake. SismosMX also contains a basic tip guide for the user that can save lives during this kind of events.
