Telerik, a leading provider of development tools and solutions for
the Microsoft .NET platform, today announced the launch of TeamPulse,
an integrated suite of agile scheduling and planning tools for
Microsoft’s team collaboration platform, Team Foundation Server (TFS).
The first version of TeamPulse is available to users immediately in
Beta, and is scheduled for commercial launch in July 2010.
Developed
collaboratively with consulting, training, and mentoring firm, Imaginet
Resources Corp., TeamPulse enables software teams to effectively plan
and measure results and continually improve their delivery process by
combining agile and lean best practices with the power of TFS. The
product focuses on addressing agile project management needs on a
team-wide rather than individual basis.
“Many project management
tools currently concentrate on individual roles rather than seeing
teams as a single cohesive unit,” said Vassil Terziev, Telerik CEO.
“Our primary goal is to bridge that communication gap between team
members and different teams and get them facing in the same direction
to achieve greater success. TFS and TeamPulse together represent the
best in construction management and planning tools; together, they
cover every aspect of application lifecycle management, from ideas to
real-world results.”
TeamPulse enables teams to turn bright ideas
into successful software projects, while minimizing waste and
eliminating friction during the project lifecycle. The product adds
significant value to TFS by providing an integrated set of highly
intuitive visual tools and innovative functionality, such as user
stories management, iteration planning, and scheduling, facilitating
holistic team engagement in the decision-making process. TeamPulse
features real-time analytics and data coming from TFS, providing an
instant snapshot of project health and up-to-the-minute information on
individual and team progress. However, its flexible architecture also
allows planning to be done discretely without impacting or affecting
ongoing TFS processes.
”TeamPulse provides users with a rich and
responsive user experience, focusing on maintaining a natural flow of
action,” said Joel Semeniuk, Imaginet Resources CEO. “Rich
information visualization is foundational to TeamPulse, leveraging the
power of Telerik’s Silverlight 4 controls to represent information in a
way that communicates the most amount of information to help teams make
the best decisions and ultimately reduce waste.”
TeamPulse will
make its official debut during DevConnections 2010, April 12 – 14,
2010, at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. A DevConnections 2010
Platinum Sponsor, Telerik will be hosting an exhibit, including
TeamPulse demos, at booth #501 on the conference floor. Additionally,
as a TechEd India sponsor and exhibitor, the company can be found at
booth (##), April 12-14, 2010 in Bangalore, India, and in booth #21 at
the Great Indian Developer Summit, April 20-23, in Bangalore, India.
