Icy Dock has announced a new external storage device under reference MB561US-4S-1.
Powered on the socket, it comes in the form of a box made of aluminum and plastic, white or black and dimensions 23.5 x 14.1 x 1.8 cm.
It can accommodate up to four hard drives 3.5-inch, exploiting the connection standard SATA I or SATA II, and a maximum capacity of 2TB. The inclusion of hard drives in bays is hot without tools.
The transfer of data to the computer then runs through a wired connection to USB 2.0 480Mbps wired or eSATA II 3Gb / s through two outlets available at the rear.
As for cooling, it is ensured by an 8 cm fan at the rear, removable and whose speed can be automatically selected or user-defined through a three-position switch (fast, slow or automatic) .
