Axcient Inc., an innovator of comprehensive data backup, business
continuity and disaster recovery
services for Managed Service Providers and their Small and
Mid-Sized Business (SMB) customers, today announced a technology
alliance with N-able Technologies. As part of the new alliance,
Axcient’s backup and recovery services now integrate with the managed
services technology pioneer’s new N-central 7.0 remote management and
monitoring (RMM) platform with groundbreaking freemium software.
Announced earlier this year, N-central 7.0 introduces the
managed services industry’s first hybrid RMM platform combining
Professional licenses and free Essential licenses. It also delivers new
features including self-healing automation, enterprise-class endpoint
security that is free for one year, and extensive support for Windows 7
devices.
The new integration capabilities between Axcient and N-central
provide MSPs with a single dashboard to track all backup and recovery
statuses, notifications, and other events via the same familiar and
common N-able interface that they use to perform all of their remote IT
tasks. The addition of Axcient’s capabilities now gives N-able MSPs
unique data protection capabilities including the ability to restore
laptops, desktops and servers, as well as support for common critical
applications such as Microsoft Exchange and the Microsoft Small Business
Server suite.
"Our partners continually tell us that there is huge value in
providing the ‘single pane of glass’ for the MSP that is juggling
multiple platforms across all of their customers," says Justin Moore,
Founder and CEO of Axcient, Inc. "We had a critical mass of partners
adopting the N-able monitoring platform, so it made sense to prioritize
this integration for our partners."
"Managed online backup and recovery is one of the fastest
growing segments within our partners’ service portfolios – namely
because it’s a logical first place to introduce cloud computing, as well
as to offer enhanced value to clients while driving costs out of their
own businesses," says Rob Bissett, Director of Product Management for
N-able. "The combination of Axcient with N-able’s N-central 7.0 offers a
simplified solution for MSPs who are looking to add these management
services to the mix or simply are unsatisfied with their current
provider. We’re very pleased to offer this technical integration to our
mutual partner base and see tremendous sales potential around these
types of services for the MSP channel at large."
As part of the technology alliance, the new Axcient custom
service for N-central can be downloaded via N-able’s Resource Center.
The integration allows MSPs to remotely monitor their customers’ key
backup and recovery data via a simple click through to Axcient’s
integrated, elegant web browser view.
