The Taiwanese brand Asus has unveiled a new Eee PC netbook dubbed 1005PX.
Hosted by the operating system Windows 7 or Windows XP Starter Home, this 10.1 inch netbook is powered by an Intel Atom N450 at 1.66 GHz and 1 or 2 GB of RAM.
It provides a display of 1024 x 600 pixel (WSVGA resolution) on a LCD panel backlight LED, high definition sound via two speakers or a 3.5 millimeter audio output, a wired network connection via an Ethernet 10/100 Mbps and a wireless network connection through Wi-Fi 801.11 b/g/n. It also proposes that a SATA hard disk with a capacity of 160, 250 or 320 GB working in 5400 revolutions per minute, a multiformat memory card reader compatible with MMC/SD ports, two USB 2.0 connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1, a port VGA, a 0.3 Megapixel webcam and a microphone.
All in sizes 26.2 x 17.8 x 2.6 to 3.7 inches and weighs 1.27 kg and powered by a 6-cell battery providing up to 8 hours and 30 minutes remaining.
The Asus Eee PC 1005PX netbook will be available soon and sold from $435. It will have the choice of five finishes white, blue, black, pink and red.
