MobiTV Delivers Downloadable Media Content on BlackBerry Torch

BlackBerry Torch showcases MobiTV’s DRM technology delivering downloadable media content for anytime viewing

Continuing its track record of technology innovation, MobiTV, Inc. now offers
the ability to download mobile media content for local playback on the
BlackBerry Torch smartphone from AT&T. Using Digital Rights Management
(DRM) technology, MobiTV now offers downloadable content alongside live TV and
video-on-demand on the new smartphone.

Working closely with content partners, MobiTV created a DRM solution that
spans multiple devices, allowing users to download content to their mobile
devices and watch offline with strong DRM protection.

"The DRM component of our technology platform is one of the elements that
make this offline playback solution possible," said Kay
Johansson
, CTO, MobiTV, Inc. "Additional components, such as our
Optimized Delivery Server which delivers high quality media while reducing
network usage, further enhance the scalability and potential of our offering.
Continued technology developments like these are critical for MobiTV to maintain
our leadership position in multiplatform media delivery."

Beyond offline playback, live TV and a large VOD library, the MobiTV service
on the BlackBerry Torch features enhanced discoverability of new content,
resulting in a more personalized viewing experience. Combined with the ability
to create quick links to favorite content and channels, MobiTV subscribers now
have more control over when and how they consume mobile media.

AT&T subscribers can download MobiTV for the BlackBerry Torch, exclusive
to AT&T customers, on BlackBerry App World (www.blackberry.com/appworld).
