Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) and Amazon Web Services LLC, today announced the availability of Adobe Flash Media Server 4 software on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), part of Amazon Web Services (AWS). Adobe Flash Media Server, an industry leading solution for streaming video and social media applications, on AWS is designed to be an easy, affordable and scalable way to deliver media experiences without the upfront investment of a full server license. Now small to mid-size publishers, social media developers, large scale enterprise deployments or customers creating one-time events can utilize the full functionality of Adobe Flash Media Enterprise Server 4 on a pay-as-you-go model that is scalable and based on user demand with Amazon Web Services.

With Adobe Flash Media Server on AWS, customers can take advantage of the full feature set of Adobe Flash Media Enterprise Server 4 – including multicast and live packaging with HTTP Dynamic Streaming for high quality playback experiences, RTMFP technology that reduces bandwidth usage, real-time interactive applications and peer-assisted communication – without the upfront investment in software licenses. Deployment is scalable; customers pay only for server time and data transfer used, making it more affordable and easier to get started.
