Intel will stop producing 20 mobile processors model

Intel will stop producing specific mobile processors.

Intel, the world leader in the processor market, announced it would halt production of some twenty models for mobile platforms, with commands that will be taken until April 29, 2011 and deliveries will cease on October 14, 2011.

Among these mobile processors, two references single core:

  • Intel Core 2 Solo SU3300 (1.20 GHz)
  • Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 (1.50 GHz)
  • And no less than eighteen references double core:

    • Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 (1.40 GHz)
    • Intel Core 2 Duo SU9600 (1.60 GHz)
    • Intel Core 2 Duo SL9300 (1.60 GHz)
    • Intel Core 2 Duo SL9600 (2.13 GHz)
    • Intel Core 2 Duo SP9400 (2.40 GHz)
    • Intel Core 2 Duo SP9600 (2.53 GHz)
    • Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 (2.26 GHz)
    • Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 (2.40 GHz)
    • Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 (2.53 GHz)
    • Intel Core 2 Duo P8800 (2.66 GHz)
    • Intel Core 2 Duo P9500 (2.53 GHz)
    • Intel Core 2 Duo P9600 (2.66 GHz)

    For Intel, it is obviously preparing the ground for the new 32 nanometer processors for the mobile platform, the first models will be launched in early 2011.
